What's hiding in your photos? Understanding privacy information
Photos may contain your location, shooting time, device model, and other information that could expose your privacy.
Many people don't know that photos may contain privacy information. When you take photos with your phone or camera, these devices automatically record information in the photos.
The most common is location information. If you have location services enabled, photos will record your exact location when you took them, including GPS coordinates and altitude. Others can see where you took the photo.
There's also device information. Photos record what phone or camera you used, the model, and even serial numbers. This information can be used to track your identity.
Time information is also important. Photos record the exact time you took them, down to the second. Others can know when you took the photo.
You can't see this information, but others may extract it. So if you're concerned about privacy leaks, it's best to clean this information.
